Will it stay shiny?Thimble Slides are polished to a high degree giving it a brilliant shine when new; this will fade over time depending on how often you handle it and if it is exposed to air a lot of the time. This will not effect it as a slide.
-
Can I wear the Thimble Slide on other fingers? We recommend the Thimble Slide for use on the 3rd finger (ring finger). In testing we found that worn on the 3rd finger you can reach easily over the fretboard for sliding and while fretting and chording it's most comfortable and balanced on that finger. But, some people do use the Thimble Slide on their pinky or middle finger; it's up to you. Remember, with a Thimble Slide on your 3rd finger - all four fingers are available for fretting.

What is the Thimble Slide made of?The Thimble Slide Maxim is made of 100% solid Standard Cartridge Brass. It's polished to a high degree giving it a brilliant shine when new.

Is it easy to adjust it at home?Directions for adjusting the fit of the Thimble Slide are included in the shipping package. Adjusting the fit is easy - but you will need a couple tools: Channellock pliers with the teeth wrapped in duct tape several times for reducing the Sizing Gap making the slide tighter, and a wide flathead screwdriver with it's edges wrapped several times with duct tape (or Jewler's Mandrel) to widen the Sizing Gap making the slide larger. You can also take it to your local jeweler who does repairs and they should be able to adjust it for you. With your Sizing Photo emailed to us, we can pre-adjust the fit here so hopefully it will fit very well right out of the package!

Does your Photo Sizing work well?Yes! With your close-up Sizing Photo we can adjust the Thimble Slide to your fingertip size very accurately. It may fit perfectly right out of the box... or some minor adjustment might be needed on your end and directions for this are included in the shipping package. Once the Thimble Slide is fitted to your finger you won't need to adjust it again. You have our 30-Day Money Back Guarantee On It.
